If you would like to commission a portrait painting from Andy you need to consider 4 things

1. What is your budget?
2. What size would you like the picture to be?
3. When do you want it?
4. Do you already have an image or will photographs be part of the commission?

If you are working to a budget the price guide below will give you an idea of the size of the painting you can achieve.

If you have a particular size in mind, the price guide will give an approximation of the possible cost.

The overall price will also be subject to how complex the painting will be (the number of figures, the complexity of pattern and/ or details).

Postage / delivery will be extra and worked out once the painting has been completed.

If you are thinking of the painting as being a gift for a special occasion be aware that any painting (no matter the size) will take at least 2 months to complete (possibly longer). Unfortunately, the painting process cannot be rushed. You should also allow extra time for delivery and any photographs that need to be shot for the paintings preparation.

If you have an image you wish Andy to use it needs to be of a size and quality/definition/resolution that will allow Andy to see the details and patterns that you want to be included. If you do not have an image available but wish to create something new consider what you wish to include in the finished painting and a photo session can be arranged. It may help to discuss this further with Andy. Andy can paint direct from life but because of the slow nature of the process Andy prefers to work from photograph with a possible sitting to work out the fine details towards the end of the painting.

Finally, when a commission is agreed, a non-refundable deposit of 50% of the price will be required before Andy starts work. The final 50% of the price plus delivery costs must be received and cleared before the finished painting is delivered.

If you need any further information please contact Andy and he will happily discuss any questions you may have.
